Neem oil is a derivative of the Neem tree which is found in Asian countries and repels insects and parasites. The Oil has such a complex structure that head lice are unable to develop resistance to it. Neem oil works by attacking the nervous system of the head louse rendering it infertile and unable to feed. Most insects do not like Neem (locusts when held in a cage chose to starve to death rather than eat food sprayed with this oil.
